Jano: the black box for your agent fleet
Version 2.8.0 opens a self-hosted SSH console to the public, keeping a log of every agent on every machine.
Jano 2.8.0 is the first public release. It detects agents from the terminal without instrumenting them, then records what they ran, where, how long it took and the exit code. Version numbering continues from its open-source base.
The server installs with Docker in one command on Linux, macOS and Windows. The Linux app ships as an AppImage with the server bundled; it keeps fleet status visible and sends notifications when an agent finishes or needs attention.
The community edition is free with no machine or user limits, and credentials never leave the server. Secrets can live outside the data volume through the <NAME>_FILE convention, while strict mode will not start without a key. The macOS and Windows desktop apps are still pending signing.
